Clinics

Whether you're working with a spooky horse, rebuilding your own confidence in the saddle, or simply want a more connected and relaxed ride, this clinic is designed to help both horse and rider find calm, clarity, and courage. Through thoughtful groundwork, obstacle work, and ridden exercises, we’ll explore how to turn hesitation into trust and tension into suppleness—step by achievable step.

Confident Horse, Calm Rider:

From Tense to Trusting:

Does your horse feel tight, reactive, or easily overwhelmed? This clinic focuses on helping sensitive, anxious, or high-energy horses find emotional balance and security. Through groundwork, obstacle confidence, and suppling ridden exercises, we’ll support your horse in letting go of tension and learning how to think through challenges instead of react to them. You'll gain tools to read your horse’s emotional state, respond with clarity, and build a partnership rooted in trust, softness, and mutual understanding—no matter your discipline.

From Wobbly to Willing:

Starting a young horse is about more than just being able to physically do the basics—it’s about building trust, confidence, and a love for learning from the very beginning. This clinic is designed for green or lightly started sporthorses, focusing on calm, clear communication and thoughtful progression. Through a blend of in-hand work, ground-based exercises, and introductory ridden sessions, we’ll support your horse in becoming balanced, curious, and eager to engage. Whether you’re preparing for dressage, jumping, trail, or a well-rounded riding partner, this clinic lays the groundwork for a lifetime of willing performance.

Obstacles aren’t just physical challenges—they’re opportunities to build problem-solving skills, emotional balance, and deeper connection. In this clinic, we’ll guide horses through a variety of obstacles designed to spark curiosity rather than concern. Using a supportive, step-by-step approach, you’ll learn how to help your horse think through new experiences with calmness, confidence, and a willingness to try. For all disciplines and levels, this clinic is ideal for horses who tend to spook, rush, freeze, or mentally check out—and for riders who want a more thoughtful, trusting partner on any path.

The Thinking Trail Horse:

"Yes, I Can!”

This clinic is all about developing a horse who wants to say yes. Whether your horse tends to be hesitant, easily discouraged, or just going through the motions, we’ll explore how to build genuine try, curiosity, and a positive work ethic. Through confidence-building exercises, obstacle play, and rewarding communication, you’ll learn how to create an environment where your horse feels safe to offer more—mentally, emotionally, and physically. The goal isn’t just obedience, but joy, trust, and a horse that shows up with enthusiasm for the job.

Contact for Connection:

True dressage is more than just movements—it's about feel, communication, and a partnership built on clarity and trust. This clinic focuses on demystifying the concept of contact and connection, helping riders of all levels create a soft, responsive, and willing dialogue with their horse. Through simple, progressive exercises both on the ground and under saddle, we’ll explore how to build balance, rhythm, and straightness without tension or force. Whether you’re new to dressage or refining your foundation, this clinic offers a practical, kind approach to creating harmony through honest connection.

When a horse moves in balance and alignment, everything gets easier—relaxation comes naturally, tension fades, and the ride becomes more enjoyable for both horse and rider. This clinic focuses on practical, horse-friendly ways to improve your horse’s biomechanics through thoughtful groundwork and under-saddle exercises. We’ll explore how posture, rhythm, and straightness influence softness, soundness, and emotional well-being. Whether your horse is stiff, on the forehand, or learning to carry themselves well, this clinic offers clear tools to create healthier movement and a happier partnership.

Move Better, Feel Better:

Your Ride, Your Focus:

This clinic is all about you and your horse. Each rider receives a personalized one-on-one session tailored to their current goals—whether it's building confidence, refining upper level dressage movements, improving connection, tackling trail obstacles, or developing a greener horse. To help us organize the day in a way that flows well for both participants and auditors, we ask riders to provide a short description of where they are in their journey and what they’d like to work on. This allows us to weave the day together with progressive themes and shared learning moments, while still keeping the focus fully individualized.
